Lecturers

Dan Doherty
Dan graduated from Kings College London in 2000 with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy.  Following a spell working for the NHS in Kent, Dan went on to complete his Masters in Manual Therapy at the Centre for Musculoskeletal Studies within the University of Western Australia in 2003.  

Dan currently works for Mid-Essex PCT as a Musculoskeletal Extended Scope Practitioner specialising in spinal conditions and also sits on the Executive Board of the PCT. Dan is a committee member of the Dynamic Ultrasound Group of Chartered Physiotherapists and lectures extensively on the use of diagnostic ultrasound within physiotherapy.


Mark Maybury
Mark Maybury works as an Extended Scope Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Good Hope Hospital, part of the Heart of England Foundation Trust in Birmingham, and at the St Luke's Soft Tissue Injury Clinic in Oxford. He teaches on a number of high profile musculoskeletal ultrasound courses, and is a visiting sessional lecturer on ultrasound at a number of universities.  

His main professional interests are the application of diagnostic ultrasound scanning to physiotherapy practice, guided injections, and research applications of ultrasound imaging. Additionally, he is also one of the founding members of the Dynamic Ultrasound Group (DUG), a specialist interest group of chartered physiotherapists using ultrasound imaging affiliated to the electrotherapy interest group ACPIE.
