Kinesiology Taping Concept
The Kinesiology Taping method was created by Dr Kenzo Kase in the late 1970's. In an attempt to optimize his treatment of injuries and acute and chronic illnesses, he experimented with traditional tapes and techniques, but found them limited in application.
Fundamental to Dr Kase's development of the taping technique was the study of the muscles and skin. Dr Kase was intrigued by the skin and its function as the body's largest reflex organ. He was also able to see that the muscles not only reacted to environmental changes, but also theorised in their ability to support the body's own healing and regeneration processes.
There are several methods and techniques used in the Taping Method, but the principle of manipulating the skin and underlying fascia appears to be fundamental in the effectiveness of the tape for improving and relieving conditions.

Workshop Content
It may look like conventional athletic tape, but tape and Kinesiology Taping is fundamentally different. Kinesiology Taping is based on a different philosophy that aims to
give free range of motion in order to allow the body's muscular
system to heal itself bio-mechanically.
Kinesiology Taping's key differentiator is its ability to aid the lymphatic
and muscle systems. For many, the Kinesiology Taping applications are a major
breakthrough which substantially reduce recovery times and improve
fitness levels.
