Kneehab

About KNEEHAB™

KNEEHAB is a unique, innovative and clinically proven,
garment-based Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)Kneehab4
product designed specifically to treat quadriceps atrophy
(thigh muscle wastage). Clinical research has shown EMS
technology to be an effective treatment for quadriceps
atrophy, which is associated with almost all knee injuries and
that the use of KNEEHAB can significantly reduce postoperative
rehabilitation time.

About EMS

EMS re-educates the muscles by sending gentle electrical
pulses through pads placed on the surface of the skin.
This electrical stimulation, applied to the motor nerve,
causes the muscles to contract, helping to strengthen and
build-up the muscle over time.

About MULTIPATHTM

KNEEHAB incorporates MULTIPATH, a patented breakthrough
stimulation technology, which enables KNEEHAB to deliver
highly focused, accurately co-ordinated and comfortable
quadriceps contractions. Essentially, it is the most effective
EMS method for attaining high-quality quadriceps contractions.

How can KNEEHAB help
rehabilitate the knee?

a wide range of conditions
affecting the knee, including
ligament injury, dislocation,
fracture, osteoarthritis and stroke.
It can be used to help avoid or

Olympic snowboarder

I injured my left knee while competing in the winter Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010. I had strained a ligament but the main problem was I had damaged the cartilage. I had surgery on my knee to remove a loose body which was floating around and place an artificial plug into the hole in my cartilage.  I had already lost some muscle in my quad and the operation disrupted my whole knee quite a bit so I was unable to do anything with the leg for a whole two weeks, I couldn’t walk on it, bend it too far, I couldn’t even lift my leg without it hurting! As a pro athlete who’s always active this didn’t make me feel very good at all, lying around not being able to do anything and knowing my muscles were getting weaker by the day. The one thing I could do was to keep my quad strong using the kneehab. It worked great at keeping my muscles going and kept me from feeling completely helpless as well. Once I was back up and walking I continued to use the kneehab until my leg was back to full strength again. It is a great piece of kit, no question it works wonders and I would recommend it to anyone with knee problems.
