Women's pelvic health products to be featured on Embarrassing Bodies
We’ve got some exciting news – Mobilis Healthcare will be featured on the new series of Embarrassing Bodies in the New Year!
The Embarrassing Bodies team asked if they could feature and test our Neen Women’s Pelvic Health products for an upcoming episode about pelvic floor and incontinence problems.
Incontinence is such a common problem - one in four women and six million adults suffer from it in the UK, and it is twice as common in women than men.
Many of your patients suffering from incontinence will have started with the problem following pregnancy and child birth, menopause, general ageing, obesity, constipation and cough, or cystitis.
You've probably found that many of your patients are too embarrassed to talk about the problem and so only a quarter seek medical advice.
It is important to reassure your patients that more people suffer from incontinence in the UK than those who suffer from asthma, diabetes and epilepsy put together.
You should also stress that 80% of incontinence problems can be cured completely.
If your patients need more information about incontinence, direct them to our consumer websites www.youreableshop.co.uk/therapy where we have lots of expert advice about incontinence.
Filming took place at the end of October in Birmingham where Embarrassing Bodies set up one of their mini clinics.
Dr Christian Jessen and a team of women’s health professionals (and our Neen team!) were on hand for free pelvic floor tests, continence advice and a mass pelvic floor exercise session even took place.
Patients were given a selection of our Neen Women’s Pelvic Health products on the day to test over a three month period.
Featured and tested products included Aquaflex Cones, Pelvic Floor Educator, Periform and Pericalm. Find out how effective our products were when the women reveal their results on the show!
We hope that the coverage from Embarrassing Bodies and our products will help to raise awareness of incontinence and help your patients who are suffering alone.
We’ll have more about our appearance on Embarrassing Bodies when it’s aired on TV in April/May.
